Movie profile: Bipasha Basu
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Especially if it is dusky and delicious Bipasha Basu, the actor being wooed by the press as she returns to the silver screen with Race. She speaks easily to the media and seems relaxed as she awaits the release of her latest film. It has been some time since we have seen or heard Bipasha Basu. The actor preferred to remain out of the limelight until recently, when she came out of hibernation to promote her upcoming film Race. Katrina Kaif, her pretty costar, seems to be more popular than Bipasha and is being promoted aggressively. Bipasha retorts that her role in the film is good which is why she did it in the first place. Rumors of her fights with Katrina have been circulating in the dark alleys of Bollywood. Seems Bips refused to make joint public appearances with Katrina for promoting the film. She categorically denies the rumors. She points out that her main concern is how well the film will do and that team effort is essential to make a film.
Fraud, the Abbas-Mustan film in which Bips was acting in, has been shelved. The actor does not know the reasons but says that a large part of the film had been shot and she will be happy to complete the film should the makers ever decide to complete it. Her relationship with hunky actor John Abraham has always made headlines. She says that the fourth estate has always been fascinated with them and is responsible for all the rumored breakups and patch-ups. Things are fine but their relationship is not for public consumption. Wedding bells? After four years or so. And that is all she will say about her relationship with John Abraham.  The sexy actor has been paired with hotties like Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Aye Haseenon and Neil Mukesh in Freeze. with Saif Ali Khan in the film. She needs to be comfortable with
her costar before she does a steamy scene, she responds. Like she
was with Dino Morea in Raaz, John Abraham in
Jism and Aftab Shivdasani in Footpath. She
shares the same comfort level with Saif, she clarifies. She has
done some action sequences in Race and says that they were
fun.
