Hindustan Ki Kasam

'Hindustan Ki Kasam' is a film with too many loose ends. The film is about a popular Hindi novelist Ajay Malhotra (Ajay Devgan) who gets entangled in a military intelligence case. The Indian Army believes the plots used by him in his novels are from the military classified cases. Ajay's plots depicts the real life military affairs of espionage. He is accused of killing the Army officers whom he have mentioned in his novel. But Ajay pleads not guilty as his plots are envisaged through his dreams.

Sushmita & AjayEvery one is flabbergasted as how could one dream about real life happenings. Well it is the same old story of twin brothers. This time around one brother is an Indian and the other one is across the border. Tauheed, a Pakistani Commando is the one who has been killing the Top Indian Military Intelligence officers. The way he executes his missions becomes the base of Ajay's plots. In the end both the twins together save the Pakistani Prime Minister from an assassination bid.

Manisha & AjaySo far so good one is entitled to think but the film has no continuity and is too focus centric on Ajay Devgan. The characterisation is not good and an actor of the caliber of Amitabh Bachchan is wasted. Its better I don't speak about others. The film lacks a good script and some stunts are very funny. Only the climax has some very good stunts. The music of the film is pretty ordinary so are the songs. The film, poorly directed by Veeru Devgan is confusing. The film is unable to capture viewer's interest at any point of time. The first time venture of Devgans into making films fails to impress.

The film has a good message of love thy neighbor. But post Kargil scenario will anybody accept it. There would have been takers if the film had released at the time of historic Lahore bus journey. Any takers now?
